As a State Laboratory, the Ricardo Jorge Institute's mission is to contribute to public health gains through research and technological development activities, reference laboratory activity, health observation and epidemiological surveillance, as well as to coordinate the external evaluation of laboratory quality, disseminate Scientific culture, fostering training and training, and ensuring the provision of differentiated services in these areas.
